Quick And Easy Halloween Bunting

At Bloggeration's first ever workshop, the lovely Hannah Cox from Crafternoon Cabaret came to teach the bloggers a couple of fun craft tutorials, including one for this cute Halloween bunting. It's incredibly easy for children and adults alike to do, and it's a really cheap way to decorate your Halloween party. You can pretty much adapt the bunting for any occasion, just use appropriate materials and you could have bunting for Christmas, baby showers, birthday parties, and so on. 

You will need: 

Halloween themed paper plates (mine are from Zazzle)

A hole punch

Ribbon - this could be Halloween themed or just plain black/purple/orange (again, mine is from Zazzle). 

Start by cutting all of your paper plates into six (fairly) equal triangles. You could cut one and use it as the template for the all the rest of the triangles if you want them to be even. 

Next, punch a hole into the top right and left corners of each of the pieces. Once you've done that you'll need to cut down your ribbon to size so it easily fits through these holes. If you're using string ribbon you won't need to do this step. 

Now you can thread your ribbon through the holes in your triangles, spacing them apart or having them side by side - it's up to you how you want your bunting, and how long it's going to be. Try and do two or more different plates so you get a pattern going. Another option is to add some smaller shapes into your pattern. These pumpkins (below) are from Zazzle wrapping paper. Just cut around them roughly, stick onto card (or the back of one of your plates) and then cut the pumpkin (or other shape) out neatly. 

This is Hannah's one (below) which she made with standard gift ribbon, and a mixture of paper-plate triangles and wrapping paper shapes.
