Future And Found

If you’re looking for a shop that’s homeware and furniture goals, with a bit of beauty, fashion, stationery and also a coffee shop thrown in, you need to pay a visit to independent boutique, Future and Found. This exquisite gem is in a converted factory opposite Tufnell Park tube station, with a shop that leads through to an outdoor seating area, and across from this, a bigger space to showcase furniture and lighting. If you love any of these things, you will fall for Future and Found: neon, plants, pastels, geometric prints, grey furniture, hexagon coasters, witty slogans on mugs and pencils, glittery washi tape, trendy magazines, need I go on?

After looking at that cute grey side table (above) and seeing the price was just over £300, I decided the outdoor building was probably not for me (I’m at more of an IKEA price point in my life right now, let’s just say), though I love how the showroom itself looks like a hipster’s apartment, but not a snobby hipster – a nice one who wouldn’t scoff if you weren’t clued up on the latest gins and stuff.

The courtyard in between the shop and showroom is a place where you’re more than welcome to sit and chill out, you can even do some work there, or admire the surrounding plants (all for sale) before making a purchase. There’s a range of hot drinks for sale, you just need to make them yourself (below).

As a stationery addict I couldn’t get enough of the table dedicated to notebooks, journals and pencils (oh my). But the shop also has walls of beautiful knick knacks for the home, and even beauty products, sunglasses and magazines.

If you happen to be in north London, Future and Found is well worth popping in to for a look and a coffee break. There’s so many gorgeous bits for every room of the house, and on sunny days it’s a relaxing and colourful space to chill out in. In a city of chain stores and impersonal service, it’s nice to come here and chat with knowledgeable, friendly staff who won’t judge your over the top enthusiasm for all things marble, pastel, copper, and cosy.

Future and Found is open every day from 10am (11am on Sundays). Check out their Instagram for inspiration, new arrivals, and money-off deals.
