Last week (at a very nice AirBnB residence near Warwick Avenue) the doors flung open at Zoella's Apartment, a product showcase with a difference. Bloggers and journos were invited to meander through several gorgeously decorated rooms and have a good old nose at Zoella's new lifestyle range, plus all the forthcoming Christmas beauty releases. On the final day a selection of excited competition winners would be filling the apartment and being the first Zoella fans to nab some of the new goodies. It was so cute and cosy, I bet the fans had an awesome time.
I made a beeline for the lifestyle range, how nice is this colour scheme (above)? Hello marble, soft greys, peaches, rose-gold and copper? As a certified stationery addict I am so on board with the gorgeous items in this range, especially the soft leather-effect grey notebook (£14) with inspo quotes inside, and the post-it planner/organiser (£10) with marble to-do lists. Both are excellent for bullet journal enthusiasts. There's also a screw-top mug to take your Starbucks orders on the go this autumn, and a cute plant pot duo (£10) that can double as holders for pens, makeup brushes, or pretty much anything.
I've been to a few Christmas launches already this year, but this is the first one that made me feel genuinely seasonal, even though it was a roasting hot early September day. Zoella has her own beauty-filled tree baubles and pulling crackers, not to mention a myriad of present ideas for beauty, homeware or stationery fans. Thumbs up to the glittery makeup bags and gingerbread scented candles!
The bedroom smelt insanely good as all of the new candles and reed diffusers were on display. Glass jar candles with pretty boxes have smells such as My Eden (freshly cut grass), Lazy Days (fresh linen and cotton), and Seaside Stroll (hmm, that sea air). Each scent comes in both a candle (£10) and diffuser (£12), and the Gingerbread Village scent will be exclusive to Superdrug along with the other Christmas beauty items. The bathroom smelt good too, being filled with open jars of delectable Wondrous Whip body cream and Scooper Dooper foaming body soak. The bath itself was filled with plastic balls, my two year old niece would have gone nuts for it.
Some of the Christmas gifts look fantastic. I'm excited about these soft grey hand warmers (below) that come in a box set with the marble hot drinks holder (£14), and a pair of cosy socks in the same knitted colour and style with a Lazy Days candle for £16.
I love the quote pencil sets too which come in boxes of orange and peach hues for £5, but the notebook for me was the ultimate winner of the day. I just bought something very similar from a stationery brand (review coming soon in the stationery section) that was much more expensive. This is brilliant quality, and looks super cute! The keyring retails for £6, but the way.
There's also lots to be excited about with forthcoming Christmas Zoella Beauty launches, which is heavy on the gingerbread. This gingerbread and vanilla heart-shaped lip balm duo (below) is £6, and the cute little trio of gingerbread men bath fizzers are £8. There's an adorable white wicker basket hamper of everything for £50.
Not only are there some very covetable things in this new collection, this was a really fun, well-designed way to see it all. We were treated to yummy gingerbread men, invited to select a positive affirmation from a jar (mine says 'you can't spell beautiful without be you'), encouraged to pin polaroid selfies and messages on Zoe's pin-board, and given a goody bag of treats from the range – with the actual bag being almost as cute as the items inside.
